One way we can figure out what we want is by appreciating the contrasts life shows us- observing what we don’t want first. Appreciating the clarity we gain from experiencing what we don’t want makes it easy for us to then focus on the opposite- what we do desire to experience. So for example if your kids are late getting ready for school in the mornings, you can appreciate the contrasts they are showing you and focus on how wonderful it would be if they got ready quickly and were on time in the morning so they could arrive on time for school. Naturally those thoughts feel better than focusing on the frustration you probably feel when they are late. As you focus on thoughts that feel better, you have a much better chance of attracting behavior from them that feels better to you.
Another helpful principle in magnetic attraction or using the Law of Attraction deliberately is using Creative Visualization. When you focus on what you want to do, be or have and then visualize it in your mind, you put yourself into the good feeling of place of having it already!
For example, If you want to be able to run a mile in 10 minutes, you would relax and almost meditate on doing so. You would see yourself running, see the end of the mile approaching and see yourself cross the mile mark while visualizing a timer at a time less than 10 minutes.
This same approach can be used in other areas of your life, like financial or relationship areas. You must know what you want, believe that you can have it, and see yourself getting it. This positive thought and belief will then put out a magnetic pull to the things you want to pull to yourself, like financial prosperity.
However, if you wallow in negative beliefs, you are more likely to draw negative situations that feel bad to yourself. Remember that “like attracts like”. If you surround yourself with positive people, beliefs and positive thoughts you will attract those things to you in the same manner.
You can see the truth of the principle when you think of people and whom they attract. Positive people tend to attract positive friends and relationships, while negative people seem to always have one relationship crisis after another. Magnetic attraction can work in your relationships, your finances and in every part of your life.
The bottom line is how we feel is everything, whatever we experience is a match to how we are feeling, the better we allow ourselves to feel the more positive people, experiences and things we attract into our lives. When we allow ourselves to hug a grudge or hang on to negativity we attract people, situations and things that match those bad feelings. There is much more leverage in having a positive attitude and feeling good than there is in any action you take. When you line up your energy and feel good first then you find yourself taking “inspired action” which is extremely powerful and much more productive than any other action you can take.
